Job Description:

Responsible for assisting credit portfolio prods desk in trading, modeling, risk management & daily profit & loss analysis. Will monitor trades, make presentations to clients re Investment Grade, High-Yield, & Equity market analyses, & work w/strategists on global trading desk to determinate arbitrage opportunities in both Options & Tranches by building proprietary models, analyzing cross gamma parameters, running multiple VoD & Intrinsic scenarios. Will engage in risk management, trade monitoring, & trade booking processes. Will research & test valuation models, & analyze risk parameters, util. numerical & stochastic methods in finance, times series analysis, probability & linear regression. Will util. expertise in credit prods in CDX & iTraxx markets, tranches & options, & exotic bespoke prods, to investigate impact of market volatility on structures such as equity & super-senior tranches, options, credit Indices & stock markets. Util. expertise in Excel, VBA, & Bloomberg.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Master’s in Finance or Mathematics & 2 yrs in position offered or 2 yrs as an Analyst. Req’d exp must have incl. exp w/numerical & stochastic methods in finance, times series analysis, probability & linear regression, credit prods in CDX & iTraxx markets, tranches & options, exotic bespoke prods, market analyses for arbitrage models, analyzing cross gamma parameters, running multiple VoD scenarios, & risk management & trade monitoring of books, & trade booking processes. FINANCIAL CONTROL ASSOCIATE

Job Description:

We are seeking an associate with 3-5 years of audit experience, preferably with Big Four Public Accounting experience working with financial services clients or work experience in financial services institutions. The Associate will be responsible for internal control over financial reporting and other controls including balance sheet attestation reporting.

The Associate will be an integral member of Financial Control team, and will play a key role in developing and analyzing the control functions for the Americas operations. This person is expected to work independently as well as work with different groups within the CFO organization including Product Controllers and Financial Reporting and other groups within the firm including Internal Audit, Operation and Information Technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial statement account attestation analysis
  • Manual journal entries surveillance
  • Coordination with external auditor, Sox compliance team and Internal Audit
  • Support of CEO/ CFO certification
  • Disaster recovery site compliance
  • New account / account change approval and maintain account ownership
  • A/P vendor review

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or relevant discipline such as finance or business required

VP, DEBT CAPITAL MARKETS BANKER

Job Description:

  • Liaise with all industry groups on situations involving investment grade debt issuance including general corporate and M&A financing activities
  • Experience and understanding of capital raising in global markets, with particular emphasis of the Yen Samurai market; but also of the Sterling, Euro and Swiss Franc markets
  • Exposure to all stages of M&A financing, starting with execution planning, to bridge and bank loans, and final take-out bond financing
  • Analyze corporate structure and financial statements as well as industry specific materials in order to advise clients on efficient financing solutions
  • Monitor and analyze global capital market conditions in order to provide frequent market updates to internal and external clients
  • Present financial recommendations, analysis and capital market conditions in client meetings
  • Perform debt pricing, cash flow, net present value and liability management modeling for corporate clients

PEOPLESOFT GENERAL LEDGER SUPPORT ANALYST

Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials 8.8 with 3 -6 years of functional experience in the following areas:

  • Responsible for the investigation and clearing of daily suspense items
  • Perform system maintenance for all chartfield values and tree structures
  • Define and maintain combo edit rules
  • Assist with the Year-End Closing process
  • Design and update queries using Reporting Tools/SQL

ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT, PRICING ANALYST, FINANCE

The main responsibilities of the position include performing an independent verification of desk prices for various types of Agency and Non-Agency structured securities. This process occurs on a monthly basis, but a review of trading activity and related pricing will be a continuous process. Additional duties to be performed will include the preparation of a monthly summary report for senior management.

Primarily fixed income products:

  • Agency CMO tranches, including PACS, TACS, floaters, inverse floaters, IOs/POs
  • Pass-through’s & TBA securities
  • Non-Agency MBS, CMBS and ABS

The primary job requirement would be to perform an independent review of the positions held by Nomura's Securitized Products Desks. This will include using third party sources for price verification, but “hand-pricing” will occur in many cases utilizing Bloomberg, INTEX, Blackrock AnSer or other models. There will be situations where the pricing analyst will need to review cash flows and assumptions in developing an opinion of the reasonableness of the value of a security. The candidate needs a basic understanding of pricing methodologies, including knowledge of the assumptions for pricing the products listed above.

The person would sit within the Finance group, but will interact with Market Risk and the Trading Desk.

Skills Required
Seeking a motivated individual with working knowledge of securities pricing, Excel, PowerPoint and strong computer skills.  Familiarity with Bloomberg and INTEX would be very useful. Experience in analyzing cash flow-based valuation models and the ability to analyze/estimate sensitivity of model parameters to pricing is a plus.

This position requires good interpersonal skills and an ability to work with both trading areas and support functions.

Education and Experience
Candidate should have Bachelor Degree (preferably in a quantitative field or Economics) with up to 3 years of experience in a pricing role.
