Internship program - Investment banking
We offer a 10-week summer internship program designed to springboard a career in investment banking. We will give you exposure to the challenges and opportunities a full-time Analyst or Associate would have in their first year with us.
In addition to on-the-job experience, you will benefit from a series of training programs that will help you to develop key professional skills. There is also a range of networking events with senior Nomura directors and seminars to give you an in-depth knowledge of the industry. This internship program is the ideal opportunity for you to learn more about investment banking, and for us to find the next industry talents. If you perform strongly in your 10-week placement, we will ask you to return to Nomura as a full-time employee.
The process
Throughout the 10 weeks, you will be working across product and industry groups, with a staffer overseeing your day-to-day projects.
Feedback
There will be constant feedback throughout your placement. At the start of your program, you will be assigned a mentor and a buddy who will review your performance and offer you any help and advice you might need.

Internship program- Corporate infrastructure
This internship program is a 10-week program for students going into their senior year. As a Summer intern you will contribute as a full and valued member of the team, assuming responsibilities similar to those of a first-year Analyst or Associate.
We will also supplement on-the-job experience with a comprehensive training curriculum designed to provide you with professional skills, industry knowledge and development opportunities. This training includes management-led overviews and presentations by internal and external experts on relevant financial products and market topics. We see the Summer internship program as the primary source for hiring full-time Analysts - which makes this a smart move for those looking for a career in operations.
The process
As a Summer intern, you will be placed into one area of the division for the entire 10-week summer program. Exactly where will be decided based on business needs - your preferences and the skills and interests that you demonstrate during the interview process will also be taken into account.
Feedback
There is an ongoing feedback and review process to make sure that you get the most out of your intern experience. You will be reviewed twice: once in the middle and again at the end of the program.
Buddies and mentors
Your buddy will be on hand to offer advice and support. They will draw on their recent experience as an Analyst or Associate to help you settle into your role and guide you through the program.
You will also have a mentor to offer advice and provide a broader perspective on your career outside the formal management structure. Mentors are there to support, motivate and help you make informed decisions.
