Nomura America Mortgage Finance

Nomura Holding America Inc. (NHA) has created Nomura America Mortgage Finance Business LLC, as a holding company for its commercial and residential mortgage businesses.

The company has a balance sheet in excess of $10 billion to facilitate expanding commercial and residential mortgage originations and purchases, as well as the creation of an asset management platform.

The day-to-day operations of the commercial mortgage business are lead by Managing Director Mark Brown and the day-to-day operations of the residential mortgage business are lead by Managing Director Donald McCabe.

Nomura Securities International, Inc., the U.S. broker-dealer, has exited the mortgage trading business, as Nomura America Mortgage Finance LLC expands. NHA has shifted its mortgage business out of the broker-dealer and into a dedicated company.
