Entering as an associate, your responsibilities will involve working with clients almost straightaway. To support your development and to equip you with the tools your role will require, you will be given plenty of on-the-job and classroom-based training specifically tailored to your role. This includes developing both your practical and technical skills, as well as your client and organisational skills.

Support from colleagues is a crucial part of your personal and professional development at Nomura, so you will receive both formal and informal support from a mentor and a member of the senior management team.

Because from the start, much of your job is client facing, you will have plenty of opportunities to develop long-term relationships with clients and senior decision makers inside the business.

We are looking for people keen to take on responsibility early on, who have a high level of professionalism, and who are capable of developing productive commercial relationships outside the business. You will also need an entrepreneurial streak, be capable of structuring creative solutions and have a good technical understanding of the broad financial landscape.
