Investment banking, global markets and corporate infrastructure. Opportunities are available in London as well as other European locations.
Yes, we offer 10-12 week programs as well as a 6 month rotational program which take place in the winter, spring and summer in London. Many of our regional offices in continental Europe offer 3-6 month internship programs year-round. In addition, we have 6-12 month industrial placements available in finance, operations and technology divisions. There is also the Women's Immersion program, a 2-week insight work experience over Easter for women in their first year (or 2nd year of a four year course). All programs can be found here.
We encourage applications from all disciplines and look for candidates who have, or expect a minimum 2.1 (or equivalent) in their degree program. It is essential that you're numerate, with an interest in finance and a desire to work in the investment banking industry.
Yes. You can apply for up to three divisions. However, you should do as much research as possible beforehand. It's important to understand which business area would best match your skill set and interests. We will expect you to be able to discuss your choice, and show both enthusiasm for, and knowledge of the various roles.
If you apply for investment banking and global markets and you're selected for first-round interviews, you will have two (for internships) or three (for full-time positions) one-on-one interviews, which will also involve a case study. During the final rounds, you will have four 30-minute, one-on-one interviews with senior business representatives (a banker who is an Executive director or above).
If you apply for corporate infrastructure, the first-round interview stage will consist of one 30-45 minute competency-based inerview. At final round, you will participate in an assessment centre which will consist of a group exercise and two further competency-based interviews.
Find out more here.
Throughout the CV screening and interview process, you will be assessed on these core competencies.
We want you to do your very best at interview. So take a look at our section on interview tips. In this section, you can complete a mock interview, learn how to tackle a case study and read our guide to interview etiquette.
Please note: Applications for the 2012 programs are now closed. Dates for the 2013 programs will be published in September 2012.
The dates below are final deadlines, but because we review applications on a rolling basis, the sooner you submit your application, the more chance you'll have.
