We have a tailor-made graduate recruitment process for each of our business areas.
In general, here's how it works:
- Online applications open
- Screening
Applications are screened according to academic qualifications, work experience, language proficiencies, extra curriculum activities and other awards or achievements. If your application meets our selection criteria you will be invited to attend a first round interview.
- First round interviews
If you reach the first round interview stage you will receive an email that will invite you to select a suitable day and time to attend the interview. You will meet for 30 minutes each with two junior representatives from the business area you are applying to. The interview is an opportunity for you to tell us why you think you are suitable for the position you have applied for. The interviewers will ask you a number of competency based questions. As part of the first round you will also be expected to undertake a case study: you will be provided with materials to prepare and present a fictitious pitch to a client (assessor). Please note that this assessment is only for global markets and investment banking applications.
Final round interviews
If you perform well in the first round you will receive a phone call inviting you to the final stage of the assessment process. This stage will involve three meetings, one-on-one, with senior level business representatives and one meeting with an HR representative. You will be required to give specific examples (work related or personal experience) of where you have demonstrated a particular competency or behaviour. The assessor will want to know you can handle a particular situation and will test you on these competencies. Your problem solving and analytical skills will also be tested via questions designed to highlight logical, commercial thinking. Additionally, we will be looking for high levels of energy and enthusiasm for the industry.
- Employment offer
If successful following the final round interviews you will receive a verbal offer within seven working days, followed by a written offer.
