Operations – Industrial Placement Program

This program is aimed at students in their penultimate year who need a work placement to meet their degree requirements. The program lasts for six to 12 months and will help you to develop an in-depth corporate knowledge. Where you are placed depends on your area of interest; we offer roles in all our departments within Operations. The division's main responsibility is to process, control and settle all Nomura's transactions.

From day one, you'll work as a full member of the team on projects that have a real effect on our business. You will focus on maintaining exceptional corporate support to our global business and take on extra responsibilities as you progress through the program.

What's involved?

You'll be exposed to a variety of business critical activities that will give you a sense of how Nomura operates on a global scale. You will also develop a solid understanding of the department and the role you could play in it. Alongside this on-the-job experience, you'll receive dedicated, structured training to help you maximize your personal and professional development. To ensure that you have all the support you need to do this, you will also be assigned a buddy and a mentor who will be there to provide any career advice and guidance you need.
