Data Management and Pricing

Data Management and Pricing (DMP) department creates and maintains static and dynamic information on securities, currencies and clients. Supported by 10 years of experience, DMP has developed a strong and efficient know-how in
pricing controls and accurate price selection. DMP covers and performs daily pricing for a huge, diversified and international panel of securities types.

NBL deliberately made the decision to work with an important and diverse
selection of well established and world-renowned pricing vendors. We started to work with some of these vendors from NBL’s inception in Luxembourg and since then, have continuously and scrupulously developed partnerships with new vendors selected for their performance and accuracy in order to always meet our clients’ portfolio needs.

The use of multiple vendors is aimed at performing various cross controls in
order to eliminate the risk of mis-pricing and to better select the most appropriate value for a given security. Fully automated controls have been put in place for all regular markets, and specific manual checks remain to cover new issues and OTC or non-regulated products.

PAG (Pricing Advisory Group) committee in NBL, comprising the Heads of Custody and of Funds and other senior managers involved in the securities business, provides advice and assistance to DMP in the case of unusual pricing issues.

Valuation Committee, which is made up of the Directorship of the Management Company or Trustees, discusses and validates when appropriate, suggestions made by PAG Committee
