Our global credit products group has grown rapidly since late 2008 to become a leader in structured credit and flow products.

We have a global presence, operating through all time zones and offering major credit investors the ability to transact 24 hours a day. In all key financial regions, we have dedicated sales teams with particular expertise in government bonds, Eurobonds and other credit products.

We trade debt and arrange new issues for corporate clients, financial institutions, sovereigns and supranational bodies in a variety of formats including bonds, loans and derivatives.

Nomura has created new balance sheet provisions to meet the high levels of liquidity demanded by clients that traditional market-makers cannot provide.

Our dedicated structuring teams in each region also develop tailor-made solutions for clients. These can enhance tax or regulatory capital efficiency or use credit derivatives to manage risk exposure.

The recent dislocation and distress in credit markets has led to growth in event-driven trading. Through close collaboration with hedge fund managers, we have developed successful event-driven strategies that are attracting interest from more traditional investors.
