• Our goal is to leverage Nomura’s core strengths and act as bridge between the East and West for cleantech venture capital
• Specifically, we aim to help our portfolio companies fast-forward their growth by assisting in opening markets across Asia and, where appropriate, forge links with Japanese multinationals
• We focus on game-changing, proven technologies particularly within American and European firms aiming to take advantage of the surge in demand for clean energy and water technologies in Asia
• Our per-deal, target size is $10m to $25m equity investment, with room to invest larger sums in follow-on rounds
• New Energy & Clean Technology Ventures is a venture capital arm of the Merchant Banking division of Nomura International
