Investment Restrictions Control Reporting Investment in a fund involves potential risks. In order to mitigate these risks, the fund may be subject to investment regulations and restrictions. Investment restrictions would typically restrain or disallow investments into a specific instrument type, specific geographical and economic sector as well as specific types of issuers. Restrictions would also encourage diversification of investments to some of the above-mentioned characteristics or provide thresholds, bands or limits for general characteristics of the portfolio i.e. duration, exposure, etc. The investment restriction control function is achieved by fully dedicated staff under the responsibility of the Funds Accounting Manager.
