Shigeki Sakaki Senior Economist, Macro Economic Group (NAM-SINGAPORE)

Shigeki is our leading economist and responsible for helping to determine NAM's future outlook for the global investment environment. Through detailed forecasting and careful analysis, he plays a crucial role in assisting our other investment professionals in deciding where their "bets" will be placed for any given period. Shigeki came to NAM in 1996 after serving as a Senior Economist at Nomura Research Institute for six years. Overall, he has twenty years experience as an economist alone. He has a BA in Economics from Waseda University, Japan, and a Master's degree in Philosophy of Economics from the University of Oxford, UK.
