John Richard

Senior Venture Partner

John is based in the US. He has been an advisor to the Team for seven years and is Senior Business Advisor to GPC Biotech AG and a partner with Georgia Venture Partners, a seed stage venture company.

He was previously at Sequus where he was responsible for negotiating the acquisition of the company by Alza (a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson) and he was the CEO and co-founder of Impath Inc., now part of Genzyme. John assists with strategic and commercial diligence activities and has represented Phase4 Ventures on the board of Altus, Targacept and Immgenics (acquired by Abgenix).

He currently represents Phase4 Ventures on the board of Zosano Pharma. John received his MBA from Harvard and his BS from Stanford. John is a member of the Investment Committee.
