Board of Directors

Shogo Ohira
Vice Chairman, Nomura Europe Holdings plc and Senior Managing Director, Nomura Holdings Inc., Tokyo, has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nomura Bank (Switzerland) Ltd. since May 2026.
Shogo Ohira has over 30 years of extensive experience in financial services and has worked with clients across the globe. Since joining Nomura in 1997, he has held numerous senior roles, including Head of Japan Equity Sales in Tokyo, Deputy Head of Trading Service Department, and Chief Executive Officer and President of Nomura Securities Malaysia. Prior to his current role, Shogo Ohira served for two years as Chief Executive Officer of the Management Board of Nomura Financial Products Europe GmbH (NFPE) in Frankfurt.
Shogo Ohira holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Hitotsubashi University, a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg-WHU Executive MBA Program, and a Master of European Studies from the University of Bonn.

Hans Nützi*
Business Management Diploma at the College of Canton Schwyz, Executive Management-Circle at the University of Zurich and Senior Executive Management Program at Stanford University Palo Alto, USA, has been Member of the Board of Directors of Nomura Bank (Switzerland) Ltd. since 2019 assuming the function as Vice Chairman of the Board since March 2025.
Hans Nuetzi has many years of experience as Managing Director and CEO at Swiss banks and both as Chairman and member of the Board of Directors at a number of Swiss banks and other financial institutions.

Bertrand Schott *
Attorney-at-law, partner (co-owner) and member of the executive committee of Niederer Kraft Frey Ltd, an internationally oriented law firm with offices in Zurich and Geneva, has been Member of the Board of Directors of Nomura Bank (Switzerland) Ltd. since April 2025. His legal practice focuses on financial services and financial market laws and regulations for clients such as banks, securities houses, fund houses, asset managers, financial market infrastructures and other regulated institutions. Bertrand Schott served on the board of directors and audit & risk committee of another Swiss bank. Education: Law Degree (lic. iur., University of Fribourg/Durham University, UK), Ph.D. (Dr. iur., University of Zurich), Master of Laws (LL.M., Columbia Law School, NYC).

Executive Board

Kentaro Kubota
Country Head for the Nomura Group in Switzerland, has been a member of the Executive Board since May 2026.
Kentaro Kubota joined Nomura in 1996 and has held several roles in Japan, Asia Ex-Japan, and EMEA. Before 2013, he held various overseas positions including Head of Indonesia client sales team of Wealth Management Department (Asia Ex-Japan), based in Singapore, and member of Private Banking and Investment Banking Department, based in Tokyo. From 2013 to 2018, he was based in Singapore, heading the Asia Strategy Office and Business Development team in the Wealth Management Department. From 2018 to 2020, Kentaro Kubota was Branch Manager of Nomura Financial Products Europe GmbH (NFPE) Spain in Madrid, and from 2020 to 2026 Branch Manager of NFPE Netherlands and NFPE Finland as well as Managing Director of Nomura Europe Finance NV in Amsterdam.
Kentaro Kubota holds a Bachelor of Arts in Commerce from Waseda University, and a Master of Business Administration from National University of Singapore Business School.

Pascal Tanner
CEO & Head of Legal, has been working for Nomura Bank (Switzerland) Ltd. since 2015 and has been a member of the Executive Board since 2016 and was appointed as CEO as of 1st of October 2020. Pascal Tanner completed his legal studies (lic. iur.) and was admitted to the bar in Basel and further obtained a postgraduate degree in Banking & Capital Markets Law (LL.M.) from the University of Zurich. Pascal Tanner’s career before joining the Nomura Group includes working at the Swiss Federal Banking Commission as well as for Credit Suisse and BlackRock in Zurich.

Robert Wanner
Head of Global Markets Switzerland, has been working for the Nomura Group as APAC Equity Sales since 2015, in a senior position for Nomura Bank (Switzerland) Ltd. since 2019 and has been a member of the Executive Board since 1st of October 2020. Robert Wanner completed his BBA from the University of Applied Sciences with a specialization in Banking & Finance. Robert Wanner started his career at Credit Suisse and later worked at Julius Baer in Zurich in various functions in wealth management and equities trading on the buyer side. Prior to joining the Nomura Group, Robert Wanner was employed by Macquarie Securities London. Robert Wanner is a CAIA charterholder.

Fritz Wüthrich
Head of Corporate Services Division, has been working in management roles for Nomura Bank (Switzerland) Ltd. since 1998 and has been a member of the Executive Board since 2002. Fritz Wüthrich completed his banking apprenticeship with Amtsersparniskasse Sumiswald and subsequently worked in various areas for a number of banks in Zurich. Fritz Wüthrich joined Nomura Bank (Switzerland) Ltd. in 1998 as Head of the Finance Department.
